Dude went down Scenic / Airline / Independence in front of state police HQ (LOL) / Greenwell Springs. I’m impressed he managed that route before finally ditching it. He had to have been standing up driving that thing. No way his little arse was reaching the pedals sitting down

The kid is either trying to train for a career as a bus driver or a convict. Funny part he probably drove that bus better than half of the present bus driver’s.

looking at the clip, I think that's the Harding/Plank intersection at the beginning. Harding comes from Scotlandville (passes I 110 and the airport), becomes Hooper after crossing Plank. Hooper is a straight shot down to Greenwell Springs Rd, where Hooper ends. If that's the case, he got the bus moving, and just kept it on the road until it ended (and that's when he hit the tree).

My guess is, he was fricking around doing something "crazy" out of mischief/boredom, got it rolling, and he couldn't have stopped if he wanted to.

I live along that route, I hear lots of power is still out in Central, and definitely the Plank/Harding intersection was dark this morning (it's where I catch the interstate going to work). Road narrows to 2 lane a few times, kinda surprised he didn't take out a pickup or 2 at a couple of the Hooper intersections... if you're stuck on Hooper at Joor, there ain't many places to get out of the way.

I stand corrected , he did.

Again for sake of disclosure, I live out on that route. It wouldn't shock me at all if the baw in the truck saw it rolling, said "frick it, I'm going, I got right of way" and didn't get out of the way. We've got some special truck drivers out here, I've been passed by F 150's a hundred yards from a red light. I generally just look at them and say "really, man? What the frick ya doing?"
