Our government from federal and state levels have failed us immensely with COVID. It’s why so many people are frustrated; attitude reflects leadership and the leadership has been poor.

But it isn’t all on Trump. A substantial portion of this economic fallout falls at the feet of state governors, and a lot of it is also that we foster a culture of overleveraging ourselves and many private parties know there isn’t any real risk because they know they can expect a bailout courtesy of Uncle Sam. But honestly after six months of a slow economy, any leverage at all becomes overleveraged.
