Pardon the dumb question, but can you be too close to the target for 6.5 Creedmore? What would the negatives be regarding this "issue"? TIA.

Absolutely, i think someone posted earlier that they went back to a 30 cal round bc the 6.5 was not expanding properly at the close range they were using it for. Which would be your biggest issue.

The 6.5 isn’t so hot that you’ll often have bullet fail. My son and I have had some close shots with our 257 WBYs and Ballistic Tip bullets and have never had problems. And that round is hotter than the 6.5.
