This is the big error. This whole thing reminds me so much of the Waco - Branch Davidian thing.
The cops, in the Waco thing, KNEW Koresh went into town daily. They could have stopped him outside the compound easily. But, they wanted that "slam in the door, crash through the window" moment and it went chaotic and wrong.
Same here. There was no compelling reason that the warrant needed to be a "kick in the door at night" type thing. Just surveille the damn place and arrest / search in the morning like a normal situation. There was no exigent circumstance that required immediate, kick in the door shite. It is just risky for no reason.
