An aunt I was very close to died of Alzheimer’s, I will never ever forget when her mind was finally gone and she didn’t recognize me anymore. I’ll never forget she looked me right in the eyes and there was no recognition at all. She was gone. It hurt. A lot. my grandmother had dementia, and now we’re dealing with my grandfather who has it.
I don’t really have any sympathy for Joe. He sold his soul a long time ago. But I have a lot of hatred for those using him. It’s sick what they’re doing to that man.

I also lost a family member to Alzheimer's.
I didn't see her at the end, but the last time I saw was heartbreaking. She knew she was supposed to recognize me but didn't and couldn't. It was the holidays so there were a lot of us around, and I'm honestly not sure who all she remembered and who she didn't.
Proud woman full of piss and vinegar all her life, who had been so kind to me when I joined the family. Just awful to see what that disease does to people.
