I’m going to play devil’s advocate and say to leave him in free agency. This is with the thought that there is a 4 rb max on your league.
Ekeler has the worst offense of any of your other 4 rbs. He didn’t even break 100 yards against a hammer defense like the bengals. He ceded goal line carries to Kelley. Worst of all he only received one target and Tyrod is not known for passing to running backs. He also is behind a horrendous offensive line.
If Fournette beats out Ronald Jones he can be a league winner in that offense. Just look at what LF did last year on a shitty offense. LF played very limited snaps but he hasn’t had an opportunity to learn the offense yet so it will take a little time. As for Melvin gordon, phillip Lindsay is nursing a turf toe injury. These injuries tend to linger. Both of these players are on better offenses with better olines.
Ekeler was over drafted based off his production the last couple years and the loss of Melvin Gordon. However, Tyrod is not Rivers. Look at what Hines did last week with Rivers. He makes studs out of passing backs. Don’t let Ekeler’s draft value blind you from his actual value.

Stop it. Leonard Fournette got 5 carries.
Ekeler still has 20 touches. There’s no devil’s advocate here. In a clearly shallow league, go for the upside. Ekeler still has that.

Those were some of the very questions I considered when posting this thread. Also, I failed to mention that this is a Standard league. But I can definitely understand why Vick's Kennel Club believed that raising the very question of whether to take Ekeler was absurd.
