We would only be in better position than most with picks, cap space, and timeline IF we got CP3 and unloaded Jrue, JJ, and Lonzo. No other outcome there saves us cap space or time line.
Someone said CP3 will have a great leadership impact on this team. I agree but so would many other veteran PGs. Obviously not to the same level but that level may be too much. I don't want CP3 to come "help or teach" BI/ Zion to lead while he would be the one taking control. What if BI and Zion take a backseat to his leadership and then he leaves in 2 years? Now we are in the same position hoping Zion and BI take the lead and would have 40 million less in future players/ asset to grow with them over the next few years.
I'd just rather a solid vet PG and suround BI and Zion with good up and coming players and let them learn to lead.
