Hate that y’all are having to deal with all this bullshite, bud.
I work for a consulting firm and we have been absolutely gutted. We have many major contracts with the biggest companies in the world and almost all of our projects have been deferred a year+ or canceled all together.
We’ve had to lay-off 81% of our employees at our Baton Rouge office. The ones that are still employed are working from home or the particular site they work. Us managers will return to the office Tuesday after working from home since March.
In January or February of this year I would’ve have NEVER thought that I could possibly be forced to relocate to our Houston office or laid off from the company I work for. I’m legitimately concerned and very anxious.
By the grace of God I am still employed and have not been asked to go to Houston. Still have a couple projects that I am currently managing. Thankfully we have not had to entertain the option of moving remaining managers to Houston and completely closing our BR office. We may have to move from our large building into something smaller. That’s something we’ll discuss Tuesday.
Sorry for the long arse post. Y’all hang in there. The picture will become much clearer after the election. This shite is stressful and many of us have reached our boiling point but things will get better.
I want commend you on doing what y’all are doing with your bar Duke. I hope more people do what y’all have decided to do.
