I was at the 98 LSU Notre Dame game. There were snow flurries in TS. Bob Davie was trying so hard not to run up the score it was embarassing. On one play LSU unsurprisingly neglected to defend one whole side of the field and the Notre Dame punter took off and ran for the first down. He came off the field all happy and Davie chewed him out.

That was 1997 LSU-ND. 1998 in South Bend was a last minute heartbreaker like most losses were that season
