The hits keep on coming...first Farrell, then Kary Vincent, now Chase and Shelvin.

but....here's the thing

this season is already strange. Half the FBS teams aren't even playing. NO Big10, No Pac12. We don't even know if there will be fans. The season is already watered down. THe excitement level is at an all time low. I was upset for like an hour after I heard Chase dipped. Then I realized it just fell in line with the rest of 2020. This year is a wash.

At least we are lucky enough to get to watch LSU play football this year. At this point it maybe a JV team we trot out onto the field vs MOO-State. But that's better than no team at all. At this point I'd watch Coach"O" strap on a helmet and pads. We get football and that's all that matters. This year could have been special again if the Covid wasn't around. We just gotta take it for what it is....

I live up North in B10 country and they aren't gonna get football by the sounds of it. So I think as fans we should just appreciate the fact that we get to watch our Tigers this season, whatever version that may be.

The only thing I hate about it is that it hasn't hit every team equally. Inopportune quarantines will also not hit every team equally. It's going to be really interesting. All of Austin Peay's long snappers had to quarantine last week so they didn't play against Central Arkansas - 2 botched punt snaps.

I'm excited for whoever we put out there. You mention excitement at an all time low. I'm not sensing that and think you'll be surprised.

Here’s the deal. I’m disappointed that I’ve seen the last of Chase and the others in a LSU uniform. And I want LSU to win every game.

But we have a chance to see some new blood on the field and new players who could become legends in their own right. I’m going to focus on them and their play instead of the opt-outs.

This comes on the heels of the greatest season by any time in college football history. Let’s allow the new kids their time to shine.

It's a great mindset to have and a goal to reach for but if Sept 26 we lose to MSU this board will go nuts and most of these "season is a wash" folks will not be feeling that way any longer. If we play I expect to win and nothing is gonna take that expectation away. I'm gonna get pissed when we make bad plays just like normal. Gonna hate the gloating of opposing fanbases just like normal. Speculate on how a bad season is gonna wreck recruiting just like normal. Hate this board and all the constant bitching and moaning after a loss, and some wins, just like normal. No excuses from me. If we play I expect us to win.
