re: Are there any HS officials on this board? How hard to be football official?

Football isn’t bad with parents because you’re not that close to the stands and there aren’t that many difficult plays. Since there are fewer games, a little less money, but it’s fun to be part of a crew. I always enjoyed being out on the field. If you do any other sports, varsity softball is the way to go because the games go quickly and has a faster pace than baseball, plus the strike zone is larger. I’ve been out for a few years but I may get back into it again soon. It just sucks working the lower, younger levels where the skill, and parents, are worse.
