I can't remember exactly, but weren't they highly leveraged? Or had a ton of inventory issues? Something scared them off that was a legit reason I thought.

I just went re-watch it. He was asking for $700k for 10% when he only had $1M in sales at the time.
Again, they all regret that one though because within 5 years that $700k would have been worth $100M
