We used to eat tuna warm straight out of the Gulf while it was still warm. I’d always knock the first one in the head with a bat and start cutting chunks out of him.
Eat all of the tuna raw that you desire.
Salmon has a strong taste to me.

Then what you ate was smoked salmon, which has an intense flavor. Raw salmon, much like tuna has virtually no taste. It really a texture thing.
