We had a 35' storm surge in Long Beach.

I have never heard anyone say that it was a 35' storm surge.

But still I realize that Miss. took a huge hit... But just think if Katrina did NOT weaken before landfall how bad it could have been.. At One time she had 175 MPH winds.......

You had reported waves in Biloxi at around 34 feet.

NOAA confirms surge of 25-28 feet along the Mississippi Gulf Coast and the storm hit at high tide.

Unconfirmed reports from BSL/Waveland/Lakeshore were up to 40 feet in some places with waves of 55 feet.

I used to have a map of the coast that had the surge for every mile or so but I cant find it anymore. It showed LB and Pass Christian at like 35' and 33' feet (I believe respectively).

This shows it at 33' but like I said, I used to have one, from NOAA I believe that showed it in mile increments down the entire coast of MS....
