Take a close of picture of the blades. It isn't grubs-it wold be dead, chinch bugs-it would be dead, brown patch-still greenish in the middle, it isn't army worms or sod webworms-you said a few weeks and army worms or sod web worms would have destroyed your whole lawn in a few weeks. It is either grey leaf spot or stunted growth from herbicide application.

Chinch bugs will leave green spots in the middle.
OP, did you apply some sort of weed and feed?
Look at that upper edge by the sidewalk. Look like good green grass about like a row of sod laid.
