All people spit when they speak. All people expell when they cough or sneeze. The mask helps prevent that from hitting the person next to you.

Of course, you already know this and are simply being obtuse. My guess is your doing so for political reasons.

How is it hitting someone six feet away? Idk about you, but I don’t think I’m ever within arms length of someone in the grocery store besides the SO who I live with...

Either you need to see a speech therapist or you need to follow social distancing guidelines

It also makes you touch your face constantly, take giant deep breathes through your mouth, touch it again, touch other things, touch it again, all while accumulating and concentrating any particles coming from your mouth and nose, take into account the number of people who don’t wash them ever and rewear or worse trade them off among household people and then the scientific fact that the masks do nothing to stop you from getting it and you’re having a hard time convincing me that masks don’t do more harm than good.
