Getting into the Student Section?

Anyone know if its possible to get into the stadium with a normal ticket and somehow get into the student section? I know they have ropes where the band is, but besides that, what other preventive measures are there?
ETA: How early do the Cops (or marshalls, whatever they are) come out? The ones that are at some of the gates in the student section. I dont remember seeing them when we would get there right when gates open. Also, when do they open the gates for non-student section? Same time as Student section?

its pretty easy for people to sneak in the student section. i'm a student and my cousni isnt so when he gets in he walks around the out side track in the stadium and up into the student section. worked for every game he attended

If your tickets are in the bowl, it's pretty easy. If they're in the upper deck, you just find the old lady ticket takers on the west side and sometimes they don't even look at the section, they just scan it.

Its easiest to just get a north endzone ticket but even if you don't its still not a big deal to get over there. I've gone from the student section to the east and west sections and vice versa and never had a problem.

The barcode on the ticket is GATE and GAME specific. They won't scan at an incorrect gate.

Well 2 of my friends got into the student section for every game last year and they had east upper tickets.

It really is as easy as just walking down to the outside track area, around to the bottom of the section you want, and then up to wherever the hell you wanna sit. My buddies did it every single game last year. Cops are more worried about catching people breaking out liquor at the beginning of the game. And make sure you break out your liquor while you're doing it.

FYI: It should be pretty easy if you show up to the game early, when the team is just starting to go through their warmups.

Know someone who works with the team and wait just before game time when the team is on the field, and come in through the locker room. There is a flight of stairs you go up, then pass some equipment, and through a door that's about 4 feet tall and your in. My friend used to work as an equipment manager, and I did this for several games after I left LSU.

If your in the South upper, you do have to crawl over a cement wall, but its not hard.

It really is easy as hell, if you're in the lower part of the bowl. Just go all the way down to the cement that loops around the stadium and walk there. Even in my season tickets in 422, I've hopped the baracade a few times to get there.

You can get into the student section without any problem. It's general admission seating in the majority of the student section.
I moved from my 50 yard line east side seats vs UF in 2005 to the student section because the sun was about to kill me. Lotsa booze + broiling sun doesn't equal good things. I think I downed a dozen or so advil.
