This is so dumb. Intelligent organizations and businesses need to be looking at the stat that matters here.... hospitalizations and deaths. Which are ALL DOWN and FALLING as increased testing for younger folks yields more positive tests.
What I see, is an overabundance of caution.

Numbers are climbing again, as we open up. Expected, yes. So everyone is scaling back, we're now basically in Phase 1.5 instead of Phase 2 as initially stated.
Fwiw, the Advocate lists hospitalizations in state on their site, when Phase 2 started we were around 540. As of this moment, it's back to 1025.
It does hit a low percentage hard, but it does hit. I've had several coworkers catch it, most stayed home but a few had to be hospitalized, a couple have died. It's fricking real.

Nobody wants to commit to something a couple months away, when the present is changing day-to-day.

In the meantime, it's been fricking with our heads. For most, it's just a depressing time, which usually manifests as anger. Most of us are on edge and want to get back to normal.

I don't think we see football this fall, and I think the spring would be too messed up. We probably lose a full year to this bitch.

Here's the issue.... if we trickle through this virus with everything shut down then it will just take longer for it to spread. The bottom line is that it is not going away magically. It will run through the population regardless. Let's get this shite over with now.
