Y'know, it's pointless to argue about this stuff.

We can pick anyone we want, it really doesn't matter. You can complain about schemes, etc. It's all really just about who your favorite was.

I'm going to lean towards Clyde, because in his one season as a starter, he led the conference in rushing, came up big against conference foes. He went over 100 yds against Vandy, Florida, Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Clemson. He averaged 6.6 yds per rush, over 10 yds against Fla, over 5 against both Auburn and Alabama (and oh btw, over 30 against Arkansas). He was drafted in the first round, so that doesn't seem to be a terrible pick.

If you prefer Fournette, then great. He was a great Tiger and had lots of exciting games. He just couldn't do it on the field against Alabama; he got 31 yds in '15, then made a point of talking about how focused and ready he was going into the '16 game, and got 35 yds.

Were those Bama D's great? Sure they were. Nick Chubb got 146 on them in '15. Jalen Hurd got 92 yds against them. Were Tennessee and Georgia better on offense than LSU that year? Brandon Harris had 2165 yds and 13 TDs; Lambert (the UGA QB) had 1959 and 12; Dobbs (UT) had 2291 and 15. So nobody had a fearsome passing game.
Bama won all three games, but Chubbs and Hurd were respectable against them. Fournette got embarrassed.
