re: Why does USPS even have package tracking

I had a package that seemed to have gotten lost in transit somewhere.
Emailed the USPS customer service to ask about it. Sent the email 14-ish days after the item had shipped, which was a week after it was supposed to have been delivered.
Last tracking updates were departing Memphis on the 12th, then four days of date changes of "in transit to next destination."
After sending the email, it was miraculously at my local post office the next morning and delivered that very day.
I'm curious to see if my next two packages, one coming through Memphis, actually make it on time.
Check out the table on this page to decided when you should be concerned.

quote:This is literally what happened to me. I sent out an order on the 5th of June, it didn't even leave my PO until the 8th, arrived in Memphis on the 11th and stayed in a "in transit" status until it was miraculously delivered on the 24th. The day after I email them about of course.

I don't remember things being this bad. I use USPS constantly for shipping.
