Wouldn't an "English" Sentence, such as, "Go", be even shorter?
Even if you consider, "Go" as "You go",(which is implied), it is still shorter.
Also many of the conjugations of "to be" are shorter.
Such as...
I am
You are
He is
I was
They are
etc etc...
There exists even grammatical discussions over where, utterances such as "Hi" are complete sentences.
Not wanting do degenerate into such discussions, it is certainly understood, to be complete, by those who say or write it.
In other words, your original claim is incorrect.
It would be correct, if, you wrote that "Jesus wept", was the shortest sentence in The Bible
