Thinking of renting a lake house On Lake Lanier for the week while in north Atlanta For a friends wedding. Any advice on what part of the lake is best to stay on?

Find the poster Lanier Sports and axe him. He’s a fishing guide on the lake. And manufactures fishing lures.

I’ve been part of a group that rented a large boat and did the lake tour. Was a cool experience. Sorry not sure what part we launched from.

Probably the Buford area
It’s a big lake, where’s the wedding?

Isn’t that the squeal like a piggy lake?

I would recommend picking another lake in GA. Lanier is insanely busy, and can get very dangerous. Allatoona and Oconee are much better options.

Quiet but not a lot of options except the hotel. Hope op doesn’t have a boat
I’m on Lanier every week OP. South part of the lake is more fun and more places to anchor up somewhere and have fun, plus where all restaurants are . Northern part of lake is quiet but smaller coves and less space comparatively. Although it’s a big lake so still lots of room.
