It's great for poor people, and it sucks for affluent people. My daughter lived two years in Sweden and had a baby there. And she's lived about five years in the UK and is about to have a baby there.

They ration care in a way that Americans (working Americans, that is) would find appalling. Recently she suspected low iron and went to the doctor. Instead of testing, like any US doctor would have, they just gave her iron supplements and sent her home. Plus she had to wait about a week and a half for an appointment. It sucks balls, but they love it cause IT's FREE. I pointed out that the reason two University employed PHds have to live in a 1200 sq ft double is because of all the FREE stuff they get.
