I officiated with ten St Petersburg Black Officers. My favorite table to sit at before Board Meetings.

There was a riot in St Pete in 1996. We were two blocks away doing a High School football game and had no idea anything was happening before the News Choppers started showing up.

The Black Officers know perfectly well how insane these people are. One Officer explained his arrival at the Gun Shop parking lot. Ten rioters trying to break in the building. "I pulled up, the first thing from my car was the business end of my riot gun. The first idiot to turn and start toward me was one of my neighbors. The only thing I said to him was "N" I will kill you where you stand." The ten backed down, got on their knees and waited for the arrival of more police.

These guys off duty sometimes worked the worst neighborhood Youth Football Program in St Pete. All Black Officers, all wearing black fatigues, all carrying ...The instructions when I went the first time. "Anyone says anything to you that is out of line, let us know, he'll be in the hospital tonight." I felt so secure, I told Booking to put me on that field anytime they wanted.

The irony in all of this RREEEEEEE'ing is that black cops rule with an iron fist. They are way worse on black suspects than white cops are.

Coach Al MacGuire's family owned a bar in NYC, and Al Worked there as a bartender and bouncer. First rule- always come over the bar feet first.
