When I first started seeing all the review backlash on this game, I pretty much ignored it all until I just finished.
Jesus I’m glad I did. I enjoyed the hell out of the game.

I finished it but I still haven’t gotten into reading reviews. SPOILER - I can’t think of anything controversial other than Joel dying, but like someone else said, his story has been told, and it propels Ellie’s character forward, so it worked. Didn’t feel meaningless. My issue with the game is none of the new characters were very interesting and there were some parts that were flat out boring, however it had a satisfying ending. I hope the two cross paths in either DLC or future installments.
