Is there a middle class up there? Fiancé and I are both teachers, considering a move. I can’t imagine our modest salaries net a decent house up there, yeah?
My town, University Place, is pretty much exclusively middle class. We don't have any really ritzy areas but we don't have any run down areas either. You're probably going to pay a higher percentage of your income on housing, but not ridiculously so. 400k can still get you a very nice house in a lot of areas.

True. They have to have a bed to sleep in also.
Just seems like every place we check has some extremely high housing prices. I’m no OT baller, unfortunately.
