After Hester scores the last TD he stayed down like he was hurt.
He said everyone believed he was hurt or worn out. He said it was neither. He actually had sand in his chinstrap and it wouldn’t buckle. He was on the extra point team and didn’t want to cost the team a timeout.
Also said the same play Flynn didn’t even call a play in the huddle. Said Flynn just told them “you know what play to run let’s go score.” Hester also told Florida AA LB Brandon Spikes the play before they ran it. Told him which gap they were running it to.
