I have a two and a half year old daughter (she is absolutely adorable and the best thing that has ever happened to me so no I will not be posting a pic you pervs) and lately I have been thinking about what personality traits I want and don’t want to pass along to her as she gets older. I have pride in my work ethic and my ability to work hard. I think this comes from seeing my dad’s ability to just get stuff done when I was younger. I think there is a big difference between being a hard worker and someone who simply isn’t lazy. I also think that telling someone that they are a hard worker is one of the biggest compliments you can give someone. I’ve always thought that you do not have to be the smartest person in the world to make it in this world, but if you are a hard worker you will be ok. You may not have the most glamorous or highest paying job out there, but you will be a productive member of society, but you will be OK.

What say you?

DO you expect people to give an honest answer? We were taught to work hard, and I work hard and I try to work smart. I had a conference call on Memorial Day, because our parent company is in Australia and DGAF about American holidays. I had to do a presentation on Thanksgiving this past year. I'm not the hardest worker ever, but I work pretty hard and have worked hard to get to where I am (I didn't just luck into my role or know someone). Besides, I beat Leukemia twice so I think I am a decent human.
