Strangely enough, I think Ja'marr Chase faces an up hill battle to be top 5. Look at Jerry Jeudy. He won the Biletnikoff as a sophomore and he was not even the top receiver from his college team.
Unless Ja'marr can win the Biletnikoff again somehow, I doubt he will be top 5. The draft people will tear him down over the next year. Not tall enough, not fast enough, etc.
Pure Bull shite of course, but it happens every year. I think winning the Biletnikoff again would shut them up though.
This was the first thing I thought when I read the OP. Jeudy was considered a top 5 lock this time last year as well but it is almost impossible to reproduce historic production like JaMarr had last season. And that isnt even taking into account that, unlike Jeudy, JaMarr's QB is gone, most of his OLine is gone, his Passing Game coordinator is gone, and the slot WR who stopped him from facing double teams all game is also gone. And JaMarr will probably test well but he is not a Calvin Johnson or Henry Ruggs level freak athlete in my opinion. I wouldnt be shocked if Jets 40 tine this year bests JaMarr's time next year (Jets did beat out Jeudy and Lamb this year). Lastly, I hope the notorious junior year injury bug doesnt get JaMarr like it did Fournette, Guice, and Delpit.
