Trump could literally kill a baby on live TV and bootlickers here would defend him. While he doesn’t have Obama levels of blind idolatry, it’s close.

Trump shut the country down over this shite. It’s on him.

Dude, you are one of those. By that I mean, different side of the same coin. Trump could cure cancer and you would deride him for putting oncologists out of work.

Trump didn't shut down shite. South Dakota never closed. GA opened back up several weeks ago. Michigan and Oregon is still on draconian shutdown orders. Hawaii is arresting healthy people if they leave their home/hotel. If you want to point the blame finger, it's the governors like Cuomo who ORDERED nursing homes to accept COVID patients, resulting is huge spikes and deaths within his state.

Blaming Trump for this shite show, is like the anti-gun people who want to take my firearms, because some woman's retarded son got his hands on her gun and shot up a school.

I swear. The semantics you people use to justify this shite is AMAZING. No, Trump didn't shut anything down. He merely recommended that they be shut down.

quote:

Trump has left guidelines limiting social interaction in place until the end of this month, after initially pushing April 12, Easter, as as the date to begin reopening the U.S. economy. Trump was moved by public health experts who showed him death tolls of 100,000 with strict measures in place, and hundreds of thousands of deaths more without. Initially, concerns were over states unwilling to open up by Easter, but now, the friction is over certain states unwilling to issue shutdown orders and calls for the president to issue a nationwide lockdown.

quote:

Q. But the president has set a period until the end of April in which all Americans are being urged to drastically scale back their public activities. Doesn’t that amount to a national order?

A. No. The guidelines are voluntary, and they underscore the limits on Trump’s powers. He can use daily briefings and his Twitter account to try to shape public opinion, and he has not been reluctant to do so. “When Donald Trump selects a narrative and begins to advance it, especially through his Twitter account, it has a remarkable effect on those who trust him,” said Robert Chesney, a University of Texas law professor wrote on the Lawfare blog. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis resisted calls to shut down the entire state but relented Wednesday with a stay-at-home order as federal and local pressure mounted for him to abandon his county-by-county approach.

Let's not also forget the federal aid money tied to doing what the feds have directed in this case.

Trump literally goes on TV every day touting how he saved this country during this crisis by the actions they've taken to stop the virus. LITERALLY EVERY DAY. He is the CEO of this gov't and the governors, while not direct reports, certainly take their direction from the federal gov't that Trump leads.

Fauci and Brix are just a couple of misguided docs with bad numbers and possibly misguided political agendas. Trump is the dumbass that listened to them and enforced what bad advice they gave him. FACT.
