Costco gets their ribs from JBS and the membrane is already taken off during processing. It’s in their contract.
Both great companies. I won’t buy ribs from anywhere else now. They are both customers of ours.

That’s explains it!!! I always strip the silver skin off and usually get ribs from regular grocery store ....the other day my wife came home with a Hugh pack from Costco and I went to strip the skin and it was gone already...
