I'm not old (32), but I probably should've gone into law over my current field.
I enjoy reading, writing, making arguments, logic, and philosophy.
That, or possibly something investigative (detective, FBI, etc...).
My current career path utilizes some of those interests (investigation/problem solving), but overall I'm not really interested in my field. I never casually read about my field in my free time, or even attend conferences/seminars.
