One recently had a stroke and the other had a heart attack. They both just happened to be positive for covid when they died (in their 80’s). Both had severe pre-existing conditions.
You don't really understand how it works. The virus doesn't directly cause death, it causes conditions in the body that lead to "other" causes of death. There is a link between COVID-19 and clots and some patients stroke out as a result. The stroke would not have occurred but for the infection. As for heart attack, the virus as we all know attacks the lungs which are causing COVID patient's O2 sats to tank and this can cause a heart attack. The clotting issues can also cause heart attacks.
The main point being strokes and heart attacks are often the immediate cause of death in COVID patients but the effects of the virus are what cause the clots, bottomed out sats or other conditions that result in the stroke or heart attack.
