Not sure the shut down measurable even slow down the disease, and no... its not possible to stop the disease anytime soon, and maybe never.

- social distancing will have no measurable impact
- technology does not really help, generally speaking
- testing does not really help, although testing at nursing homes could help there though

I do think he means well though, get back to life.

There was no reason (data/evidence) to really shut down things to start with.

I was of his opinion before this whole dumbass lockdown started. Should only have been a lockdown for the elderly and those with serious pre existing conditions. Let the young workforce continue to work and let the virus run its course. Focus the government stimulus and whatever aide toward the elderly and high risk population that would be forced to stay home

I’m leaning toward an opening of the country in the least affected areas and letting the chips fall wherever they may fall.

If you have illness, stay home. Bad heart, be careful. Asthma, wear a mask. If you’re old, stay home and wear a mask.

Just live your life with a new risk factor in play- China virus- it’s like if we learned that asbestos gives you cancer.... oh wait... we did that and we just started avoiding it.

Take personal measures to mitigate the risk. That’s the new world we’re in.

Deal with it
