You must be talking about the Popeyes in Galliano that was in the shopping center where Walmart and Delchamps used to be.

They shut that Popeyes one down about 15 years ago.

I think Katrina damaged the shopping center and they decided to close the location as it was not as busy since Walmart left and Delchamps shut down.

Now an ElPaso is now occupying that space.

The gold olde days living on the Bayou I can remember the days when I was much younger, and in that shopping center, you could go to Walmart to get what you needed, then you went grocery shopping at Delchamps, then stop by Top Ten Video to rent a movie or a game, and the stop at Popeyes to get your fill of chicken. I do remember that location having a buffet. I can even remember that location having a window to see how they baked and buttered their biscuits.

Now all that is left of Popeyes on the Bayou is the Larose location that is in the old Burger Chef/Mr. Cook location.
