When I was in the Corps and ready to deploy to Vietnam in the late 60's they had all sorts of shots(vaccines) by injection and all kinds of pills, including quinine for malaria.
I have to admit, from that time on I have had very few illness since. I hope that last through this pandemic.

The Army shot me up with tons of vaccines and even more when I went to Korea. Including the dreaded Anthrax vaccine that was supposed to kill everyone. Surprisingly there were maybe a few cases out of the hundreds of thousands of service members required to get that vaccine that were affected.
