I agree. I'm a semi-prepper, but I can now see how bad it would be if this virus was much worse, which it could have easily been.
What if it killed 30% of the people it affected?
Stores, gas stations....hardware stores, everything would be shut down.

Indeed.
Prep for this was fairly easy because there was no realistic scenario of widespread power outages. You could just buy more of normal groceries and freeze it/put in pantry.
Right now I’m grateful for having a stock of shelf-stable milk and that eggs keep for so long.
I can still get either but it definitely involves planning doing stuff like being the first in the store, especially for eggs.
