Beautiful Kentucker. We used to catch them as kids and put them in mason jars. Poke holes in the lid and you'd have a nightlight for a night or two :)

We saw something like that at the Kentucky Castle a few years ago. They were in the shrubs along the road to the castle. Must have been thousands of them - looked like you had put Christmas lights on the shrubs. People there said it happens annually but timing depends on temps, soil moisture and other factors. I believe it was around June
