You helped me make my point. The Miles to Michigan news broke before the Pitt/WVU game. Had WVU beaten Pitt, they would have been locked into the title game against Ohio State. Everyone in the world, Herbstreit, Miles, and Michigan's athletic department included, just assumed WVU (a 28.5 point favorite, looked like a powerhouse) would beat a horrible Pitt team pushing LSU to the Sugar Bowl, and therefore, Miles to Michigan.
