First off college freshman production is never the deciding factor on someone’s alltime career and has nothing to do with skill set which is what I replied to. Is Leonard Fournette better than Barry Sanders because his stats were better in one category as a freshman in college? The premise is absurd. And FYI Sanders was a great freshman player who scored multiple TDs that season. You’re comparing a freshman college player to the best corner who ever lived lol and what’s funny is there’s not a single hesitation in your analysis. Stingley is a great college player Deion is an alltime NFL great stop the foolishness it isn’t fair to our guy. Deion was a 2x All-American and Thorpe winner, Stingley isn’t even at that point yet.

Sting may never come close to having the numbers to be the greatest because of what he showed as a KID playing corner in the SEC WEST.

I will not be surprised if teams stay away from his side of the field a vast percentage of the time for the next 2 seasons.

Sanders relied heavily on his speed to make plays, Sting is very fast but plays IMO with more Technique as a teenager than Sanders did as a full-grown man in the NFL.

Because of this, I think Sting has the ability to be a much better DB than Sanders.

Sanders was always the best athlete on the field and he knew it, but I believe that hurt him from reaching the potential that he could have had.
