There is swamp on both sides. Note how hard Republicans went after Trump in the beginning. Those R's saw the writing on the wall.
Republicans did a lot of draining by forcing some of theirs into retirement (i.e. Paul Ryan).
Democrats are still swamp creatures by and large.
