People on the OT seem to be underestimating how quickly many people and small businesses will go completely under if these conditions persist.

I'm hoping to God that since, at the end of the day, these are politicians that we are dealing with, part of the equation is a cynical bet that they prep everybody for months and months of misery and then look awesome when they cut everybody loose in 2-4 weeks.

I don't care if you are a solid red good old boy card carrying member of the NRA from the hills or a bright blue granola munching tree hugging Bernie Bro from Portland, if we're sitting here in May doing this shite, you're probably asking questions of your government and moving into "Screw this" mode.

We can argue about the lack of disaster preparedness of the average citizen for sure, but even if you aren't one of them, their collapse will likely bring financial hardship on your business as well.

$1000 from the government won't keep your average family of 4 afloat for long. This will hurt banks, auto manufacturers, insurance, hospitals, plumbers etc.

The impact will be far greater than bartender Joe at Superior Grill if it drags on for very long.
