I've seen this same trainer at the gym for 4 years and never talked to him because I have a limited amount of time and hate gym chit-chat.
Saw him at Mardi Gras when he was shitfaced and he talked to me for like an hour. He was a nice enough dude, but had way too much to say about what everyone should be doing in a workout.
I then realized I'm gonna have to talk to him every time I see him.
Went to the gym the Monday after and told him what's up. Since then, I decided to reset the relationship by not talking to him.
It's been great ever since.
