Of the ones I’ve played:
Atchafalaya - Great Layout. Couple of quirky holes, but really good overall design. When it’s in good shape, prob the course I like playing the most.
The Bluffs- Only played once years ago. Only course around here with significant elevation change. I was honestly pretty underwhelmed. Since I’ve played, it seems like everything I read about it is that it’s in dogshit condition
LA Tour- Great golf course. I think this is the best public access course in South Lousiana. They put a lot more into the design, Refinement and shaping of the course from tee to green than any other course on this list.
The Oaks (Mississippi)- Played once 20 years ago. Enjoyed, but don’t remember anything about it.
The Island- Love playing the Island. It’s got a few ho-hum holes, but it’s got several really, really good ones. I don’t find it “tight” at all, save for a few shots.
Koasati Pines- Played a scramble here once. Bayou Oaks at City Park- I enjoy playing here. It’s not a difficult course unless it’s wet and the rough is grown up, but it’s fun.
