I agree.
I don’t know why this is a decisive issue for so many. LSU could take take quarterbacks if they want.
I think the smart move is take Nuss if he wants in. He’s an elite quarterback. He’s got all the skills to be truly special. If Williams wants in too then great.
You don’t turn away an elite player who wants to commit for an elite player who might commit or is telling you he will behind closed doors. How many times do we need to get burned in that scenario before people figure it out?
If Williams wants to be here then he will be. It’s not like the coaches quit recruiting the kid.
Personally, and it’s just a gut instinct, could be totally wrong, the kid seems like he’s very fond of the recruiting process and telling a lot of people what they want to hear. Not saying that’s a terrible thing bc it’s pretty common but for me it’s just seemed like it was stupid to presume he was a lock based on an interview his dad did in November. He’s done several just like it for other schools saying he’s got a “special connection “ with this coach or “loves” that school.
Bottom line, TLDR....take the elite guy who wants in and don’t wait for a kid at the same position who may never come here
