Rabbit hole Friday...

LSU lost 5 games by less than one score, in almost all of those games LSU had the lead in the 2nd half and the defense gave up a game tying and game winning score.

The FL game LSU lost by 12, but it was a close game and LSU should have had a 3rd quarter lead, but a Fred Booker pick 6 got called back for someone lining up offsides for a 10 point swing on that drive. Also Tyler threw an endzone INT late in the 3rd.

LSU did get hammered by Arky the last game on the road, team was done by that point.

If LSU had defense that was even 8th or 9th, not dead last in the SEC that year they win the West and maybe the SEC

Yep we boat raced the division champ Miss State that year

But yeah frustrating year. Lost to UGA by 1, UK by a field goal, Ole Miss in OT, Alabama an an onside kick, Notre Dame in a shootout, etc. and those close losses carried into 99 as well
