UGA loss was crushing, that was a winnable game against a young qb. To have a real title shot LSU needed to win one of the two against UGA and FL. Losing both was devastating.

If I remember right the FL game was LSU's last decent game on defense, we had a pick 6 called back due to someone lining up offside, that one play pretty much lost LSU the game.

LSU wasn't going to win the SEC with that defense, but with a few different breaks that is easily a 8 to 9 win team...which still would have been a disappointment with the expectations going in to the season.

Tepper made Quincy Carter a lot of money that night. Carter stated “we just took what they were giving us“. When asked what LSU was giving, his reply was “everything!“

We had a linebacker covering Champ Bailey. Later in the game Bailey made an incredible catch.

We had a very talented and good offense that year but the defense was just God awful.

We could’ve won the Florida game and had the opportunity for a pick six right before the half but the ball was dropped. The Alabama game was the most disheartening a ball because the game was well in hand and Bama somehow snatched victory from the jaws of defeat in part due to Abram booty missing a shirt touchdown pass by having it stripped from him and to ball for touchdowns We could’ve won the Florida game and have the opportunity for a pick six right before the half but the ball was dropped.
