mean all the flat earthers have to do is pony up some cash and launch a satellite with a camera and take a pic. Then they will know

They do some crazy shite...the guy that died in the rocket was trying to do that...well, to see for himself...

But you have to be at least a couple hundred thousand feet up for the human eye to see the curve (some eyes could detect it much lower, like 125k)

They also tried to fly a jet over the south pole but were denied...they wanted to circumnavigate the globe pole to pole...

So, their efforts are -worthy, but there are just too many measurables for a normal dude...

I will say this, Polaris is higher in the sky on Guam, I measured it at (over) 15 degrees from the north side of Andersen AFB...BUT, NGT summed it up pretty well with the explanation that the earth is "pear-shaped"---

It's not actually a pear but slightly not a sphere with a fatter warble to the south and thinner warble to the north

Note my measurement was a little over a degree off, which is just greater than 1/360th of true North, so it is fair to say I caught Polaris on the high side of it's swirl in the North point as well as the pear shape contributing.

At the time it was just shite I looked at because on open sea it's easy to look at and measure...

the southern cross was cool to see as well, and is a major factor in disproving a "natural" flat earth...now their crazy arse localized digital matrix theory...uh...nah fam

No, you don't. You can see it flying a plane.

No one ever mentions how early man figured out it's roundness. I usta enjoy when tied up on the coast to get out a big pair of binocs and watch boats go out and come in. I also usta try to guess how far way a platform was by how close to the water it appeared. on cold clear how humidity day this was very easy to see and the sphere is easy to see. Early scientist even calculated the size of the sphere very accurately by watching tall ships sail away and taking measurements on when the hull disappeared and height of masts seen as it disappeared around the curve. Early man thought it was flat too till they learned better

I have been up in a 747, and up the Empire State Building, and it seemed clear to me there was a curvature to the horizon. I actually chuckled about flat earthers when I was on the ESB. Guessing from up there (knowing the height of the ESB), you could make measurements proving curvature.
