BOA laces definitely make you think twice about scraping them across an oyster reef but I’ve had the same original laces on mine for six years. That might be an indictment on how often I choose my flats sneakers over the BOA’s. Whatever you do, make sure you buy boots with Vibram soles. Leave the felt soles for the boys in Montana. Simms has the best wader warranty, bar none. A buddy of mine just got his waders repaired at Simms after a squirrel attacked them in his garage. They’re good as new and now he looks like a pretty serious wadefisherman. Their custom shop will even add a horizontal dryloc zipper in the crotch for easy relief if you order direct from Simms.
