I sort of agree with you but not for the same reason.
I don't think the problem is Brees. I think the problem is very obviously Sean Payton. And I actually think Sean Paytons most valuable person on the team outside of maybe Jeff Ireland.
When Brees is in the game Sean calls a completely different offense. That offense is high-risk high-reward. Without a second receiver and a true passing threat at the tight end position, that offense is more risk than reward. Plus the defense plays completely different with the brees offense versus the teddy offense. I actually like the conservative, grind it out and win with defense offense that Sean was calling with Teddy Bridgewater. It was obviously more effective in producing wins.

Let me just throw this at you:
If Payton is the problem and we decided to let him go, who’s to say we’d be better off? Bc unless Joe Brady wants to come back to New Orleans or a top 10 HC in the league wants to make the jump down the bayou, i think it’d be very moronic to do that.
